    What does 24-hours of a leaky toilet cost:

    The current OPUD water rate translates to $0.0016 per gallon, which may not seem worth worrying about. However, a leaking toilet runs 24-hours per day or 1,440 minutes per day. Depending on the severity of the leak, the leak rate can be from 0.5 to 2 gallons per minute. Even if the leak is only 1 gallon per minute, the cost per day is $2.31 and the cost per month is $69.30.     Swimming Pool Opened June 17, 2015

    At the May 21st OPUD Board meeting, the OPUD Board voted to open the swimming pool with very limited funding. The limitations on the funding translate to an abbreviated season and no swim lessons. The scheduled opening date is June 17th. The schedule will be 6-days per week (closed on Tuesdays) from 11:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The 5-acre facility produces approximately 840 kilowatts of electricity or about 1800 megawatt hours per year. The system incorporates 5,253 photo voltaic modules. UPDATED - DROUGHT Regulations and Information

In response to the ongoing drought conditions in the state, and to implement mandatory potable water use restrictions imposed by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB).  OPUD adopted the following Resolution and mitigation measures: Resolution No. 2292 Authorizes PENALTIES for excessive potable water consumption.
